Biocomputation
The analysis of biological data using computational analysis is called biocomputation or bioinformatics. In this exercise components of DNA sequence analysis will be used to determine the similarity of a species' gene sequence to a similar gene in another species. This lab explores DNA sequences uses the online BLAST tool to identify similar sequences in the public database. An understanding of translating from RNA to protein using the standard genetic codes is required.
